The Journey of Two Shades

Back in November 2022, Co-Founder and current Director Musa felt his car needed something extra. Disappointed by the options on the market, he used his electrical and software engineering background to source and install an aftermarket ambient lighting system. The result? A standout setup that turned heads, and highlighted a key issue within the automotive industry faced by many... Boring interiors.

Despite this, the real lightbulb moment came a few months later. After endless compliments and interest from friends and car enthusiasts, Musa had decided to install Ambient Lights in something more sporty, a BMW M4 Competiton coincidentally owned by current Business Development Director Abdul Matteen. This took things up a gear, and the two, happy with the results stepped on the accelerator and teamed up with experienced mechanical and enhancement technician Abdeljebar to finalise this puzzle of partners. They decided that between them they could bring something fresh to the market. By May 2023, with our signature two-tone purple and blue ambient lighting and a powerhouse trio behind the vision, Two Shades officially launched.

Fast forward to today, where we’ve made our mark on the vehicle enhancement scene. With hundreds of happy customers, a fully 5-star rating on Google, and many viral moments online, Two Shades is more than just lighting, it’s a movement. From starlights in the headliner, which shine like the night sky on a clear day, to our universal branded Two Shades ambient lighting which fits in almost any make and model. As well as our coded ambient lighting, controlled by the vehicle itself. Our screen controlled, factory-style ambient lighting is crafted to perfection.

Two Shades are just getting started. In April 2025, we officially expanded internationally to the UAE, bringing our unique approach and premium craftsmanship to a brand-new audience across the globe.
